Lucid Piano designs pianos straight out of a futuristic sci-fi movie…
Every Lucid Piano is the result of a bespoke partnership with the historic German maker Blüthner Pianofortefabrik, whose piano-building heritage goes back more than 170 years. By combining Blüthner’s signature tone with aerospace-grade acrylic, sculptural 3D-printed forms and hand-finished metals, Lucid turns the grand piano into a sculptural centrepiece for private homes, yachts, hotels and concert stages alike.
Craftsmanship & Materials
The transparent bodies are moulded from premium optical-grade acrylic, prized for its clarity and long-term resistance to yellowing so the instrument keeps its crystal finish for decades. Inside, a German Renner action and a quarter-sawn spruce soundboard sourced from the Bavarian Alps deliver the tone Blüthner is famous for, while the frame, hardware and integrated LED lighting can be finished in brass, chrome, gold or rose gold to match the owner’s taste. An upgradable player-piano system can also be fitted at the factory for those who want their instrument to perform on its own.

Lucid – Hive Elegance
Sexy looks, unprecedented sound
An intricate, honeycomb-inspired lattice replaces the traditional solid case on the Hive Elegance, wrapping a fully playable Blüthner grand in a piece of sculptural art. Available in a wide choice of veneers and lacquer finishes, from deep black with gold hardware to warm Yew and Bubinga wood tones, every Hive Elegance is tailored to the room it will live in.
Lucid – Exo
Art of technology, technology for art
Exo grew out of MONAD Studio’s parametric 3D-design work paired with Blüthner’s 3D-printing expertise. Its skeletal, flowing frame looks equally at home in a museum or a penthouse, and is offered in gleaming gold, silver, red or blue finishes that catch the light from every angle.

Elegance can be whatever it means to you
Semi-transparent acrylic panels meet a high-gloss classic silhouette in the Elegance line. Offered across a spectrum of vivid colours and clear finishes, it lets owners keep the timeless proportions of a grand piano while giving it a distinctly modern, glass-like presence.
Lucid – PH
Something from the future
Bold circular cut-outs perforate the case of the PH, opening windows into the mechanics of the instrument. It’s a striking, architectural take on the grand piano for owners who want their instrument to spark conversation as much as it plays music.
Lucid – iDyllic Excellence
Re-engineer everything you know about a piano
The flagship of the collection, iDyllic Excellence is cast almost entirely in optical-grade acrylic with a minimal number of visible seams or bolts, leaving the cast-iron frame — which carries over 27 tons of string tension — as the centrepiece. The frame and hardware can be finished in gold, rainbow colour or any custom tone, and the model is available in seven sizes, from a 154 cm petite grand up to a 280 cm concert grand.
Lucid – Hive Xtravaganza
Luxury, future, an icon
The boldest expression of the Hive design language, Xtravaganza pairs assertive sculptural cut-outs with a powerful, resonant tone. It is offered in silver, black, purple and blue finishes for owners who want their piano to make an unmistakable statement.
Made to Order
Hardware finishes: brass, chrome, gold and rose gold. LED lighting: full rainbow colour palette, remote controlled. Player system: available with an upgradable PNOmation player-piano system with access to a large, regularly updated song library. Lead times: roughly 8–10 months for a fully custom order, or 2–4 weeks on an existing in-stock piano.
